This special rate is available only until May 8 2015, or until the block fills.


Hampton In Christiansburg/Blacksburg (7.2 miles from campus)
A block of lodging rooms is available at the Hampton Inn Christiansburg/Blacksburg at the rate of at the rate of $119/night plus tax for 6/8-6/12. This price will include a full, hot breakfast for each guest as well as free local calling, free wifi, and access to all of our hotel amenities. The cut-off date to reserve in this block will be May 26th. Guests may call in and book in this group by letting their Guest Service rep know that they are part of the “NAWEA Symposium” group, or mentioning the group code NAW. Campus Residential Housing
Symposium attendees will also have the option to lodge in residential housing on the Virginia Tech campus.

You must register and pay for the residential housing plan in advance. The registration deadline date for residential housing plan purchase is May 15, 2015.

Travel

BY AIR

The closest major airport is Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport (www.roanokeairport.com/), about 38 miles northeast of Blacksburg. It is serviced by Allegiant Air, US Airways, United Airlines, or Delta, which connect to dozens of leading metropolitan cities (Orlando, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Washington, Chicago, Detroit, Cincinnati, and Charlotte).

Ground Transportation Available:
The following are options for any ground transportation you may need after your arrival. These services can be found on the first floor of the terminal near the baggage claim area.

Roanoke Airport Transportation Service (www.roanokeats.com) provides easy access to Blacksburg and the Inn at Virginia Tech. The airport is approximately 45 minutes away from scenic Blacksburg. Reservations call: 1-800-288-1958 or 540-345-7710

Services available include shuttle and private car. Reservations in advance are required, offering 24 hour service.

Smart Way Bus Service (www.smartwaybus.com)

Service is $4 per person to Blacksburg. The bus operates Monday through Saturday (does not run on Sunday) at regularly scheduled times. Bus drops off on the Virginia Tech campus at the Squires Student Center stop and call The Inn at Virginia Tech (540-231-8000) to schedule a shuttle pickup from Squires to The Inn. The Smart Way will not drop off at the dorms. Visit the website for the exact route and times.

Limited Shuttle Service

Vans will provide limited shuttle service to and from the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport on the following dates at times:

Pick up at the airport:
Monday, June 8 – 3:15pm, 5:15pm, 7:15pm, 10:45pm

Depart Blacksburg:
Thursday, June 11 – 3:15pm, 5:15pm, 7:15pm, 10:45pm
Friday, June 12 – 3:15pm, 5:15pm, 7:15pm, 10:45pm
