Aging in Place (AiP) Workshops are designed to help individuals form a personal plan to stay at home and in the community as long as possible. This one-day workshop will prepare you to lead a customized Aging in Place Workshop in your own community.
We have the materials you need – workbooks, videos, facilitator’s guide, resource links, and more – available for free. Check them out at www.nrvaoa.org/aging-in-place. The materials were prepared and tested over several years by the New River Valley Aging in Community Leadership Team and the Lifelong Learning Institute at Virginia Tech. Participants will sample a workshop experience and get coaching on how to conduct a session of your own. You will leave with all the materials on a flash drive.
No prior experience or specialized expertise is necessary! If you are passionate about your community and willing to facilitate conversations about making plans as we age, then join us on June 28.
