Water Treatment Process at Full Scale Water Plants

This course will utilize first person view virtual tours and demonstrations to replicate training usually delivered at our Hands-On Training at a Full Scale Water Plant. Live virtual and pre-recorded videos will focus on topics such as: flouride practices, lab safety & practices, filter backwash, chlorine cylinder and SCBA training, jar testing - turbidity, Colilert testing, membrane backwash, biological filter backwash, chemical addition, sludge collection & processing, and more. Virtual tours from various plants across the state of Virginia will highlight the diverse operations that make up our drinking water distribution systems.
Continuing Education Units
You will receive a certificate awarding 1.6 Continuing Education Units (16 contact hours) for successful completion of the course. A certificate of completion will be awarded at the conclusion of the course.
