About the Conference

The conference showcases outstanding clinicians, researchers, and teachers who address current issues in the rapidly changing field of diagnostic sonography. A variety of topics benefit sonographers, students, and biomedical engineers involved in sonography.

General Sessions and specialty lectures allow participants to gain relevant CME credits throughout the meeting. Participants receive CME credit through SDMS for those hours actually spent in the educational activity.

As with live activities, physicians may self claim one (1) AMA PRA Category 2 Credit for each 60-minute hour engaged in the learning activity. Physicians may claim credit in 15 minute or 0.25 credit increments and round to the nearest quarter hour.

The fee includes course materials, refreshment breaks, continental breakfast and lunch on Saturday.

Conference Objectives

This conference is designed to:

• Acquire accreditation requirements for relevant CME credits for sonographers and physicians engaged in the specialty areas of Abdomen, OB/GYN, Cardiology, and Vascular sonography
• Identify new applications of diagnostic sonography in medical diagnosis
• Appraise the image techniques and Doppler applications
• Organize opportunities to view and compare ultrasound equipment
• Describe information on improving the technical quality of examinations and acquiring ultrasound skills
• Distinguish quality control improvement areas for examinations
• Review pathological processes diagnosed with ultrasound
• Each lecture will have individualized objectives based on the nature of the lecture
• Review of ultrasound physics for registry preparation
