Orientation and Creating an Inclusive Workplace
August 24, 2018
noon - 4:30 p.m.

The day will begin with introductions and a program overview to clearly explain the program elements and expectations.

A workshop that will follow emphasizes how diverse backgrounds and skill levels improve problem solving and encourage growth and change. Creating an inclusive environment relieves workplace stress and increases productivity from people at all levels. Discover ways to build a welcoming environment.

Adaptive Leadership

Making Smart Decisions in the Digital Age

Great leaders understand how to balance emotion with reason and make decisions that positively impact themselves, their employees, their customers and their organizations. Making good decisions in difficult situations is no small feat because these types of decisions involve change, uncertainty, stress and sometimes the unfavorable reactions of others. This course introduces approaches to decision-making and provides opportunities to apply them effectively. Learn how to better evaluate decision alternatives and communicate your decisions more effectively. Pre-work assigned.

Clear communication is the key to a business leader’s success. This class equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to return to their teams committed to implementing change. Emphasis is placed on social capital, listening, networking, and clear communication.


Emotional Intelligence (with assessment)
January 18, 2019
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Emotional intelligence is a set of skills that capture an awareness of our own emotions and the emotions of others. In this class you will learn how to use this awareness to manage ourselves effectively and form quality relationships. High degrees of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) result in higher effectiveness, productivity and job satisfaction. Included in the class is a professional EQ assessment (EQ-i 2.0®) for individualized feedback on your EQ. Pre-work assigned.

Ethical Leadership
February 8, 2019
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

This workshop offers an opportunity to identify and think through the challenges of ethical living and leading. Exercises focus on examining the “invisible” challenges present in all workplaces and will assist you in making smart decisions that align with the core values of the organization. Pre-work assigned.

Design Thinking
March 15, 2019
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

This unconventional day is full of relevant ways to re-frame the way you approach challenges in your workday. This class will explore creative best practices from a variety of fields (e.g., management, sociology, theatre, etc.) and demonstrate ways to apply them to workplace situations. (P.S. It may be the most fun you’ve ever had in training!)

One-on-One Professional Coaching Sessions
Scheduled throughout the course

As part of your Toolkit registration, you will receive four one-on-one coaching sessions with a certified professional coach.

The coaches will work in partnership with you to provide structure, guidance and support, customizing your professional development to attain your specific goals. This invaluable component of Toolkit is key to leveraging your leadership learning. Your coach will evaluate your progress and support your success.

Capstone Lunch and Presentation
March 29, 2019
11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

This wrap-up event is designed for participants to reflect on their experiences throughout the program and share their lessons learned. There will also be time for socializing and networking.
