Why Attend the Annual Tomato Disease Workshop?
Started in the early 80's to address bacterial canker, the Workshop has
expanded to include presentations on a wide array of diseases that
currently threaten the profitability of the industry. Currently, this
is the only workshop that focuses strictly on presenting up to date
information on currently critical tomato disease problems. The goal is
to provide a forum for the presentation of new products and recent
research results which address disease etiology, pathogen epidemiology,
breeding for disease resistance, and chemical, cultural, and biological
disease-management strategies.
Who Should Attend
The workshop is open and relevant to tomato farmers and processors, crop
protection specialists, tomato seed industry personnel, Extension
educators, and anyone involved in the business of growing tomatoes.
Vendors, suppliers, and academic researchers are also invited and
encouraged to attend.
