New! Keynote Speaker Information

This conference showcases diversity as a critical and valued area of scholarship and research. It is for those studying and/or committed to issues related to race, gender, culture, class, sexual orientation, and disability. We will feature engaging plenary speakers, breakout sessions, roundtables, posters, panels, and (of course) fellowship, support, and celebration. Please consider applying to present at this conference. Presenters will have their papers and presentations published in proceedings following the conference.

This years themes:

  • Evaluation, Assessment, Measurement... of diversity efforts
  • Creating Inclusive Cultures... valuing our differences
  • Aging and Diversity... intergenerational challenges
  • Global vs. Local... dealing with complexity and paradox

Location and Lodging:

The conference will be held at The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center located in Blacksburg, Virginia. A block of lodging rooms has been reserved at special rates for the conference. Call the hotel at (540) 231-8000 or toll free 1-877-200-3360 by Monday, February 12, 2007 to receive the rate of $99 plus tax, per room per night, single or double occupancy.
