Since its initial inception, the intent of the Children’s Services Act has been to improve services to youth through pooled, multi-agency planning and funding. Funding is administered at the local level to provide communities the flexibility to serve youth and families in a manner consistent with local needs, resources, and philosophies.

Creativity in the development of individualized services, unique to the needs of each youth, was and continues to be the vision. Coupled with that vision of creativity is the reality of myriad requirements regarding eligibility, fund use, licensure, agency regulations, and policies that frame implementation of the act.

Conference participants can expect to receive information and training that will assist them in achieving the mission and vision of CSA. Participants include the State Executive Council, State and Local Advisory Team, local government administrators, agency heads, CSA Coordinators, FAPT/CPMT members, private providers, parent representatives, and other CSA stakeholders.

The conference has grown to include two and a half days of activities for up to 650 participants, with most of the Hotel Roanoke Conference Center reserved. Sponsor tables and break stations will be set up in central locations to improve the flow of traffic and maximize extended time for participant visits.

NEW THIS YEAR! Sponsors will enjoy lunch in the Regency Room at the time of their choice (within normal operating hours). In order to have your lunch covered by your conference registration, you must possess a meal ticket issued by conference staff. Lunchtime meal tickets may be purchased at the time of online registration for $25 per meal, per day.
