Conference Theme Areas

Five theme areas have been identified for the conference based on the past 50 years of forest soils science:

  • Forest site evaluation and mapping
  • Management effects on growth, production and sustainability of forest ecosystems
  • Linkages between forest soils and water quality and quantity
  • Soil ecology and biogeochemistry of forest soils
  • Fertility and tree nutrition

Poster Presentations

Each author will have a display area of 4 X 8 for their poster at the conference. Please check the list of poster abstracts to see what session your poster has been assigned to. Posters can be set up in the morning before breakfast and taken down in the evening. Those presenting posters on Monday can set up their posters on Sunday evening. We would also encourage authors to submit a manuscript of their presentation at the time of the meeting. More information about paper submissions can be found under Manuscript Submissions below.


Manuscript Submissions

Manuscript Submissions for the Proceedings in Forest Ecology and Management

Authors are encouraged to submit a manuscript of their presentation. Manuscript submissions will be accepted at the conference in June 2008 with a final deadline of June 30, 2008. The manuscripts should be formatted according to the guidelines for Forest Ecology and Management and the Guest Editors for the proceedings are Mary Beth Adams and Scott Chang.
