General Information

Abstracts are now available in PDF format.

The overall focus of the conference will be modeling techniques that can be used to help solve biological problems as opposed to focusing on specific biological problems and the physiology of those problems. As such, the conference events will cover a broad spectrum of modeling techniques, including presentations on integrating micro-array and metabolic observations, modeling isotope data derived from NMR or mass-spectrometry, the inclusion of stochastic elements in modeling populations, current nutrition and health research using modeling, poster presentations, and instructional workshops.

Conference Highlights

  • Lecture presentations on the application of mathematical modeling to various nutrition research topics by authoritative practitioners from diverse areas of nutrition, medicine, and applied science.
  • Poster presentations on conference-related topics.
  • Computer workshops where new and intermediate-level modelers can gain hands-on experience with various software tools and research applications. Workshops include tutoring, case studies and collaborative problem-solving opportunities.
