Lean and Six Sigma (manufacturers/non-manufacturers)

Learning outcomes:

  1. Process: What is the difference between Lean and Six Sigma and how do these improvement initiatives help an organization achieve excellence? Key Areas: 1.) Ownership 2.) Map/Analyze 3.) Fix and Stabilize 4.) Improve

  2. Leadership: Explore what it takes to develop a successful team plus learn tools that will help a team define and improve a process such as Process Mapping, 5S, PDCA and techniques to help a team reach consensus on a path toward improvement. Key Areas: 1.) 4 styles 2.) Trust 3.) Teamwork 4.) Empowerment

  3. Culture: - Understand the difference between Mission, Vision, Strategy and Values and how each can be used to develop an inspirational and exciting path toward excellence. Key Areas: 1.) Mission 2.) Vision 3.) Strategy 4.) Values

Refund and Cancellation Policy: Refund requests must be received 14 calendar days prior to the program start date. A $75 administrative fee will be deducted from all refunds. Requests should be sent by email or by initiating a drop request through the student portal in our online registration system. As an alternative to a refund, you may send a substitute at no additional cost. Please contact us at 540-231-5182 or e-mail to request a substitution. Please note: refunds will not be issued for no-shows or for cancellations received on or after the program start date.

In the unlikely event that this program is cancelled or postponed due to insufficient enrollments or unforeseen circumstances, the university will fully refund registration fees but cannot be held responsible for any other expenses, including cancellation or change charges assessed by airlines, hotels, travel agencies, or other organizations.
