Lean Integration: Application into Process, Leadershop and Culture

Learning outcomes:

  1. Understand basic principles necessary for effective performance in a Lean organization. including humility, respect for individuals, process focus, flow of value to customers, quality at the source, and others.
  2. Review Lean fundamentals and the principles, values, and philosophies necessary of every Lean practitioner.
  3. Use Lean planning and deployment mechanisms to align and conduct continuous improvement actions.
  4. Review Lean process improvement tools and build upon them.
  5. Learn how to measure, map and put in place Lean practices.
  6. Use coaching feedback to systematically improve daily work activities.
  7. Use education, training, and coaching for personal skills development.
  8. Demonstrate ownership for process improvement responsibilities.
  9. Build the skills required of a practitioner in a Lean culture.
  10. How to apply the concepts through a group work-related project.
  11. Participate in and contribute to process improvement systems and use appropriate continuous improvement tools.
  12. Integrate improvement with work.
  13. Use systematic PDCA problem-solving thinking through work habits and other methods, such as A3s.
  14. Apply measurement systems and demonstrate the behaviors that build a continuous improvement culture.

Refund and Cancellation Policy: Refund requests must be received 14 calendar days prior to the program start date. A $75 administrative fee will be deducted from all refunds. Requests should be sent by email or by initiating a drop request through the student portal in our online registration system. As an alternative to a refund, you may send a substitute at no additional cost. Please contact us at 540-231-5182 or e-mail to request a substitution. Please note: refunds will not be issued for no-shows or for cancellations received on or after the program start date.

In the unlikely event that this program is cancelled or postponed due to insufficient enrollments or unforeseen circumstances, the university will fully refund registration fees but cannot be held responsible for any other expenses, including cancellation or change charges assessed by airlines, hotels, travel agencies, or other organizations.
