Call for Presenters

We are seeking dynamic, engaging, and knowledgeable presenters for the 2017 Implementing Lean for Operational Excellence conference.  

The audience will be made up of team leaders to executives, and all levels in between, representing local government, healthcare, education, utilities, and manufacturing. Participants are seeking new learning about lean, leadership, and process improvement.

The objective of the presentation is to convey your knowledge/experience on applying lean principles, leadership practices, process improvement measures, and/or creating a culture change. The presentation should inspire and empower participants to embrace and implement lean and process improvement within their organizations.  

Presentations should be 60 minutes in length and delivered as interactive. The timeframe will include an introduction, the presentation, time for questions and answers, and an opportunity for evaluation. Attendees should leave with specific knowledge and skills about various aspects of lean and how they can apply the principles within their place of work. Presentations should provide attendees with helpful information and not be used to promote a specific business, product, or service.


Submit the abstract form by August 15, 2016. We ask that you complete a separate abstract form for each presentation you wish to submit. All submitters will be notified of acceptance or regret by September 15, 2016

Please send a headshot and a bio on the same day you submit your abstract to Erin Burcham at Bios are limited to a maximum of 100 words. The goal of the presenter bio is to provide us with a high-level view of your career and your major accomplishments. Photographs and presenter bios will be included in our conference program and marketing materials.  

Bio Guidelines

  • Full name, current job title, and organization’s name
  • Highlights from your career as it relates to your current position and your work with lean leadership or process improvement
  • Degrees, certifications, awards, honors, and authored publications

Submitting the Full Presentation
PowerPoint Presentations should be submitted to by February 1, 2017.  The subject line should read "2017 Lean Presentation (Your Name)”.

As a presenter for Implementing Lean for Operational Excellence, your conference registration is complimentary. The registration includes access to the full conference and reception.  

Presenters are responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses. See the Location & Lodging page, or contact Erin Burcham at for more information.  

A variety of workshop presentation formats are desired at the conference and may include lecture format, panel presentations, simulations, or roundtable discussions. Presenters are responsible for providing copies of workshop handouts.
