This symposium is sponsored by Virginia Tech's Department of Music and features scholarly discourses on Latin American music as it relates to politics, culture and history, as well as Latin American music performances, including Ensemble Quito 6, a professional musical group from Ecuador under the direction of renowned conductor Jorge Oviedo.
