About the Workshop

Howard Feiertag, a well-known hospitality industry veteran, is a faculty member of the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management in the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech. His experience and connections in the hotel sales and marketing field help him keep a strong pulse on industry trends. His knowledge can help you and your hotel team members grow and strengthen your skills and confidence and learn to adapt to the economic environment.

His background of over 40 years in hospitality includes convention bureau management, hotel operations, food & beverage, sales & marketing, catering, meetings and convention management, as well as tourism and travel. Feiertag's experience and knowledge lends itself to revealing trends of the hotel economic patterns, cycles, and how they relate to hotel sales dynamics. He has received many industry achievement honors including the 2004 award of HSMAI's first annual Excellence in Sales and Marketing Strategy Award.
