Dr. Steve Prisley in an Associate Professor of Forest Inventory and GIS in the Department of Forestry at Virginia Tech. He has over 20 years of professional experience applying GIS to natural resource management problems. He has managed GIS operations in large forestry corporations, conducted research in GIS error analysis, and since 1999 has taught undergraduate, graduate, faculty, and continuing education courses in GIS for natural resources.
