About the Instructor
Christopher T. Link, P.E.
Chris was raised outside of Ashland, VA, a small town north of the capital city of Richmond, and he now lives on the north side of the City of Richmond. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Science and Mechanics and a Master of Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering, both from Virginia Tech. Chris' graduate research supported two separate projects, both focused on developing low-cost fiber-reinforced composite structural products for bridge applications.
Prior to his current position, Chris acquired 7 years of commercial construction experience, spending the most recent 5 years working in the architectural precast industry providing structural design, detailing, and project management services to the precast architectural concrete industry. This work serviced a client portfolio of real estate development, precast manufacturing and precast erection activities covering the East and Gulf coasts.
Chris has been with ITAC Fall Protection Services since May of 2010. He performs structural analyses and site audits, designs and oversees the fabrication of fall protection systems including any necessary custom anchorages, conducts on and off-site training courses, supports all installation activities within the group, and assists in the management of group projects.
