You are invited to attend the pre-launch SDO EVE Science Workshop. We will be discussing the latest EVE calibrations, data and modeling products, space weather, interactions with other SDO teams, and EPO. This is an exciting time for EVE, and we hope you will be able to bring your special expertise and experience to actively participate.
The EVE Workshop will be held at The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center in Blacksburg, Virginia. Activities will begin Monday evening with an informal Dutch-style welcome gathering at the Continental Divide in the main lobby of the Conference Center at 6:30pm. The conference will begin at 8:30am on Tuesday, October 7 in the Cascades Room of the Conference Center. Wednesday's highlights include an optional afternoon excursion and team dinner at Mountain Lake Resort. The main session will conclude around noon on Thursday, with a special interest group (Earth's atmospheric modeling and photoelectron) continuing into the afternoon.
Sessions:
Each session will begin with a brief summary followed by the session
chair opening the discussion portion of the session. All presentations
will be short and informal, with the emphasis on discussion. This
workshop is the ideal time to share ideas and experience and the
discussion and interactions will be imperative to meeting our workshop
goals.
Presentations:
Speakers will have access to an overhead projector, a computer projector
and portable computers (MAC and PC) loaded with the latest version of
Power Point.
