On behalf of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and the Transportation DBE Advisory Committee (TDAC), I would like to invite you to attend the 2017 Virginia DBE Transportation Training Symposium that will be held in Richmond, Virginia. The conference is being held March 8 – 9, 2017, at the Greater Richmond Convention Center in downtown Richmond. This year’s theme is "Road Work Ahead", just as road crews work to fill potholes and maintain Virginia’s rough and rutted roads damaged by weather and general use, this year’s DBE training symposium is going to invest in each DBE firms’ leadership to identify the potholes (weak areas) in the organization and provide recommendations to keep the firm not only in a state of good repair, but strive for continuous process improvement.
The primary goal of the training symposium is to bring the DBE community and stakeholders together in a supportive empowering environment to learn from the knowledge and experience of subject matter experts in the transportation industry and each other. Symposium attendees will also have the opportunity to work on strategic networking to connect with the right people to build relationships and establish partnerships that lead to increased contract opportunities.
Our goal is to make the 2017 Virginia DBE Transportation Training Symposium a rewarding and memorable experience for each of you. Join us in Richmond in March 2017.
