We are excited to announce the 2009 Career and Technical Education Summer Professional Development Institute to be held August 3-7, 2009, in Richmond, Virginia. On Tuesday, August 4, educators will meet at the Greater Richmond Convention Center for a day of "across-the-board" professional development.
Your company is invited to participate as an exhibitor at this Institute. The 2009 CTE Institute will host over 1,800 teachers and administrators from across the Commonwealth, representing the many program areas within Career and Technical Education as well as academic teachers, counselors, and administrators. On August 4, they will be under one roof!
Exhibitor details include:
- Greater Richmond Convention Center
- Set up: Monday, August 3, 2009, 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. or Tuesday, August 4, 2009, 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.
- Exhibition area hours of operation on August 4, 2009: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Break down: Tuesday, August 4, 2009, 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
- Reserved exhibitor space
- Includes skirted table and presentation space in exhibit area
- {color scheme is black, gold, and silver}
- Multiple opportunities for contact time with conference attendees
- Verbal recognition at all vendor sponsored events
- Attendance for two representatives for each paid exhibit booth
- Lunch with attendees for two representatives for each paid exhibit booth
- Dinner available for an additional fee
- Exhibitor Fee
- $300 for one booth, includes up to two representatives
- $600 for two booths, includes up to four representatives
- $900 for three booths, includes up to six representatives
- Additional representatives beyond what is included in the booth fees are $75 each and includes continental breakfast, lunch, and afternoon break on August 4
- Dinner tickets are available for all booth representatives at $40 per person
Please complete the Exhibitor Registration form online or print a PDF of the registration form and mail it with your check. The deadline for registration is July 6, 2009. Once you have registered, I will personally be in touch with you to discuss details of the 2009 CTE Institute and the opportunity for participation in the door prize event.
Please note that you are not required to exhibit later in the week at the individual professional association meetings. Since Tuesday, August 4, 2009, is an all-inclusive day for the associations, most everyone will be in attendance on this day. Ample visitation time is allowed in the program to visit exhibitors.
A block of lodging rooms is held at the Omni Richmond Hotel for exhibitors. Exhibitors are responsible for making their own reservations by calling Omni Reservations at 1-800-THE-OMNI and asking for the 2009 CTE Exhibitors room block. Reservations must be made by July 6, 2009 in order to receive the special group rate of $123 single or double occupancy.

Refund and Cancellation Policy: Requests for refunds will be honored when received by June 5, 2009. However, another person may be substituted at any time for this program. A $50 administrative fee will be deducted for cancellations. In the unlikely event that this program is cancelled or postponed due to insufficient enrollments or unforeseen circumstances, the university will fully refund registration fees but cannot be held responsible for any other expenses, including cancellation or change charges assessed by airlines, hotels, travel agencies, or other organizations.
