Career and Technical Student Organization
The CTSO Training Workshop will be held at the Greater Richmond Convention Center on August 3-4, 2009. Please plan to arrive at the Convention Center between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on August 3 for on-site check-in. The program begins at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 3, and concludes at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4. Students are invited to participate in the 2009 Career and Technical Education Summer Professional Development Institute for the remainder of the day including lunch and dinner.
Registration: Please note that if you are an advisor - DO NOT REGISTER HERE. Please register with your professional association meeting or on the 2009 CTE Summer Professional Development Institute Registration site. This registration site is only for those students attending with you. Please register your student/s on this site with the student's contact information. To successfully register your student: 1. Refresh your browser; 2. Click on Step 1 – Register button below; 3. Set up an account in your Student’s name and follow the instructions on the screen.
There is no charge for students to attend; however, they must register in advance. Students will receive lunch, refreshment break, and dinner on August 3 and breakfast, refreshment breaks, lunch and dinner on August 4.
Special Lodging Note for Students:
Lodging fees are covered for STUDENTS only. Please note students should
work with the state specialist to arrange lodging no later than June 15, 2009.
Any requests received after this deadline date may not
be honored. State specialists will be asked to pair their students, if
applicable, for roommate assignments.

Special Note: Transportation will be provided from the Greater Richmond Convention Center to your hotel on Monday night, August 3, 2009. Buses will provide shuttle service from hotels to the Greater Richmond Convention Center on Tuesday, August 4, 2009. Please review the Shuttle Schedule for complete details.
