Who Should Attend College Bound?

High School Students
A college transition program for rising high school juniors and seniors with disabilities who are preparing to attend a 2 or 4 year college and seeking an Advanced Studies or Standard Diploma.

Parents/Guardians
Separate workshops and activities are included for parents who are strongly encouraged to attend.

When Are Programs Scheduled?

Learning specialists, successful college students with disabilities, parents, and other professionals offer tools for college success which address the unique challenges faced by students with specific disabilities.

Session 1 - June 20-21 - Learning Disabilities and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity, Physical, Mobility, Deaf or Hard of Hearing

Session 2 - June 22 - Autism Spectrum

Students will explore a variety of college success tools in advocacy, learning, personal and social success.

Am I College Bound?

The transition to college is a challenge for all students. College Bound offers you the opportunity to learn what it takes to succeed in college. During your program, you will get the chance to spend time with college students, leaders with disabilities and participate in informative sessions and fun activities while staying on the Virginia Tech campus. Rising high school juniors and seniors are invited to attend our program. The program is designed for students who are academically eligible for a 2 year or 4 year college.
