About the Course

The threat of terrorism has become a real fear in the nation today. Terrorism by use of biological agents (bioterrorism) such as Small Pox. Ebola virus, Hepatitis E, Brucella, and others have captured the attention and the resources of the nation. This program may help to alleviate some fears by educating the veterinarian and the physician on these bacterial agents, their disease process and means of transmission. Only by increasing the knowledge about these infectious diseases can we plan appropriate responses should the need arise.

Please join us for presentations by highly specialized faculty of the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine on December 12, 2005 at the Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center.
