The ACC Interdisciplinary Forum for Discovery in Life Sciences will be held in several different locations on the VA Tech campus. These locations include:

  • Virginia Tech Graduate Life Center
  • Virginia Tech South End Zone at Lane Stadium
  • The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center
  • Fralin Life Science Institute
  • Virginia Bioinformatics Institute

photo of The Graduate Life Center The Sunday afternoon Student interdisciplinary Training will be held at the Virginia Tech Graduate Life Center from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Conference registration will be available at the Graduate Life Center from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. The Graduate Life Center is located on Otey Street, on the border of campus and downtown Blacksburg. The building sits adjacent to Alumni Hall, across from the Squires Student Center (#251 on campus map).
photo of Lane Stadium The Sunday evening registration and welcome reception will be held at the South End Zone at Lane Stadium. Registration check-in will be available from 5:30pm to 6:30pm, and a welcoming reception with guest speaker and plenary speaker will be held from 6:30pm to 7:30pm (#185 on campus map).

On Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, the plenary speaker will present in the Virginia Bioinformatics Institute (VBI) (#119 on campus map).

The technical sessions will be held at VBI and Fralin Life Science Institute (#111 on campus map).

The Tuesday afternoon research interest discussion groups will meet at various locations on the VT campus; specific locations will be provided during the morning sessions. The VT campus tour and regional activity will meet in the lobby of the Inn at Virginia Tech. Regional activities may include hiking to the Cascades waterfall, walking the Huckleberry trail, running the VT cross country trail, or other activities.
photo the Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center The Tuesday evening poster session and BBQ dinner will be held at the Inn at Virginia Tech. The poster session setup will be between 2:00pm and 4:00pm, and the poster session will take place from 4:00pm to 6:00pm in the Latham Ballroom Foyer. The BBQ dinner will be served on the Great Lawn outside the Latham Ballroom at 6:00pm.
